第37回年次大会発表論文募集要項

　日本コミュニケーション学会第37回年次大会を、2007年6月16日（土）、17 日（日）に、西南学院大学（福岡県福岡市）で開催いたします。大会テーマは「文化人類学とコミュニケーション学」です。研究論文発表あるいはパネル・ディスカッションを希望される方は、発表要旨およびパネルの主旨と下記の必要事項をe-mailにて、2007年2月20日（火）までに柿田秀樹（学術局長）宛にお送り下さい。応募原稿の言語と大会での発表言語は同一のものとします。

　発表内容に関しましては、当学会の年次大会で発表するにふさわしいものであるかどうかを審査いたしますので、あらかじめご了承ください。会員でない方は発表申し込みできませんので、事前に入会手続きを行って下さい。なお、以前は共同研究者も会員であることが条件でしたが、連名発表者がいる場合、第１著者（および実際に発表する著者）さえ会員であれば、第２発表者以降は非会員でも結構です。

　本年度から、応募の際に必要な要旨の種類及び長さが変更となりますのでご注意ください。昨年度まで発表者にお願いしていた論文コピー３０部の提出を取りやめ、代わりに今大会から要旨をまとめてプロシーディングスとして出版する予定です。要旨は２種類作成して頂きます。プログラムに掲載する従来の要旨（和文800字以内、英文300語以内）に加えて、大会プロシーディングス出版用の要旨原稿を御準備ください。プロシーディングス用の原稿には、和文要旨は3000字以内で、A4版２枚に収まるもの。英文は1000語以内でA4版２枚に収まる要旨を執筆していただきます（パネル応募の場合も、プロポーザルに加えて、それぞれの発表者の要旨を別々に含めること）。発表者には、プロシーディングスを１冊購入していただくことが、発表の必要条件となります。大会プロシーディングスを出版する為、応募締め切りも変更されておりますので、十分にご留意ください。

　申し込みに関しては、ワードファイル（Word 2004 ver.1.1以降）にて要旨を作成の上添付し、下記の項目全てをe-mailの本文にて、kakita213@dokkyo.ac.jp宛に締切日までにお送り下さい。メールメッセージの題目は必ず「re: CAJ第３７回大会申し込み―（お名前）」として下さい。このアドレスは個人が日常的に使用しているもので、学会専用のものではないため、混乱を避けるためです。御協力をお願いいたします。

申し込みに関しては、下記の点をご了承下さい。
1. 研究発表の時間は、発表が20分、その後の質疑応答が10分です。
2. パネル・ディスカッションの時間は、１時間半です。
3. 4月中に、E-mailあるいはファックスにて発表をお願いするか否かをお知らせします。
4. 本年度から、発表論文の要旨をプロシーディングスとして出版いたします。発表原稿は必ず別にご用意ください。

Call for Papers for the 37th Annual Convention
of the Communication Association of Japan

　　The Communication Association of Japan will hold its 37th Annual Convention on Saturday, June 16th and Sunday, June 17th 2006, at Seinan Gakuin University in Fukuoka-city, Fukuoka. The theme of the Convention will be " Communication and the Anthropology". CAJ will be accepting and screening proposals for individual or panel presentations for competitive research papers dealing explicitly with communication.

　　Commencing with this conference, we will publish a conference proceedings with abstracts. Accordingly, two forms of abstracts should be submitted: one for the convention program and the other for the conference proceedings. Abstract of the paper or panel discussion for the convention program must be 300 words or less in English or 800 characters or less in Japanese. The length of the extended abstract for the proceedings should be maximum of 1000 words in English or 3000 characters in Japanese. Those who propose a panel should send abstracts of individual presentations in addition to a panel proposal. Presenters are required to purchase conference proceedings for their presentations. No submission of the copies of paper is required. Those of you interested in submitting a proposal, please refer to the CAJ homepage for the submission requirements.

　　Those wishing to propose a presentation or a panel discussion should send an e-mail with a word file (Word 2004 for Mac. ver.1.1 or newer) of the abstract as an attachment to Hideki Kakita, Director of Academic Affairs, at kakita@dokkyo.ac.jp by Tuesday, February 20th, 2006. Make sure the message is titled “re: CAJ presentation proposal-(your name)” to avoid any confusion, since this is a personal mail address, not one solely dedicated for the conference. In addition, as part of an e-mail message (not as an attached file), please include the following information in the e-mail text.


1. Name and affiliation of all presenters/panelists.
2. ID number for membership (For those who have just recently applied for membership, please inform us of the date you paid your membership dues.
3. Title of the paper/panel discussion to be presented.
4. Abstract of the paper or panel discussion, 750 words or less in English, or 2000 characters or less in Japanese. The language of the abstract should be the same as the language in which the paper/panel discussion will be presented.
5. Contact information for business and home (address, telephone number, FAX number, e-mail address.).
6. Any requests for equipment required for the presentation. Requests are considered, but cannot be guaranteed.

When submitting a proposal, please note the following:
1. 20 minutes will be allowed for the presentation of a paper, followed by 10 minutes for questions and answers.
2. 90 minutes will be allowed for a panel discussion.
3. Notice of acceptance or rejection of proposals will be sent by e-mail in April, 2007.
4. Presenters are required to purchase a conference proceedings for their presentation. CAJ will sell the proceedings during the Convention, to help cover the expenses. Each presenter should prepare a complete paper for presentation.

Attention:
Those wishing to propose a paper presentation or panel discussion for the Convention must be a current member of CAJ, hence non-members interested in presenting will be required to apply for membership before submitting a proposal. With regard to collaborators, up until 2005, it was necessary for all co-presenters to become members, but this condition has now been waivered, so as long as the first author (and of course the presenting author) is a current CAJ member.
